Modular Scaffolding: One Family of Names, One Core Idea
We make modular scaffolding under several names: ringlock, system scaffold, modular scaffold system. They all share the same working principle, and we explain what that means on site.

What Modular Scaffolding Actually Means
Modular scaffolding is a family of scaffold systems built from prefabricated parts that connect at fixed points. Ringlock is the best known member. You might hear it called system scaffolding or modular scaffold system. In our factory, we say ringlock for the socket type disc lock system. Buyers in different markets may call the same product modular scaffolding.
Here's the core idea. A rosette with eight holes sits on the standard every 500 mm. Ledgers and braces end in wedge heads that drop into those holes. One hammer tap locks the wedge. No bolts, no loose fittings, no measuring. That's the whole principle behind modular scaffolding parts.

Why Modular Systems Replaced Tube-and-Coupler on Large Jobs
- Faster assembly. Wedge pin connections take one hammer blow. A crew can put up a modular scaffold system bay in minutes, not the hours tube and coupler work can take.
- Fewer loose parts. Ledgers, braces, and standards are matched components. There are no separate couplers to drop, lose, or cross thread, so modular scaffolding parts stay accounted for.
- Built in geometry. The rosette fixes connection angles. Ledgers meet standards at right angles and braces at set diagonals, which reduces layout errors on big facades and slabs.
- Less skilled labor. With no tube cutting or coupler torque checks, workers need less training to build a modular scaffold system correctly and safely.
- Repeatable structures. Standard bays repeat across a job. Once a crew learns the pattern, each lift goes up the same way, which helps on long facades and repetitive shoring.
